Call for Technical Program Chairs of CAS-FEST 2013
The IEEE Circuits and Systems society has recently initiated an annual technical Forum on Emerging and Selected Topics (CAS-FEST). The forum is a full-day event during ISCAS tutorials day, for in-depth treatment of an emerging research topic of interest to CASS members. CAS-FEST 2010 was held in conjunction with ICECS 2010, in Athens, Greece and focused on Variation-Aware Design for Nano-scale VLSI, while CAS-FEST 2011 was held in conjunction with ISCAS 2011, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and focused on Brain Machine Interfaces. CAS-FEST 2012 in Korea treats Heterogeneous NANO-circuits and Systems and proposed themes for CAS-FEST 2013 should cover a different topic.
CAS-FEST is designed by the Circuits and Systems Society as a high-impact, high-quality technical forum. High quality accepted papers, preferably authored by senior researchers, must be matched by high quality of presentations . It is required that the presenter of each paper, who must be identified upon submission, is the most experienced author of the paper. Submitted papers might be authored by students, but accepted papers must be presented by their research advisors, unless all authors are students.
Accepted papers will be published in the new IEEE Journal on Emerging and Selected Topics in Circuits and Systems (JETCAS). Submission procedures of the JETCAS, which are the same for all IEEE CASS Transactions, should be followed by the submitting authors for IEEE CAS-FEST.
CAS-FEST 2013 will be organized during tutorials day at ISCAS 2013, in Beijing, China. Prospective Technical Program Chairs are invited to submit proposals for themes, including:
1: topic
2: importance of the topic in emerging technologies
3: list of subtopics
4: suitability of the program chair
An open call for contributions must be issued. The ISCAS organizer will take care of local arrangements. Further information may be found at http://ieee-cas.org/conferences/cas-fest-instructions.
Proposals are due on or before May 1, 2012 and should be sent via e-mail (in pdf) to CASS VP Conferences, Tor Sverre Lande (bassen@ifi.uio.no) with email title: CAS-FEST 2013 proposal. Proposals will be evaluated by a committee organized by VP Conferences, VP Publications, and VP Technical Activities of CASS. Notification of decision will be sent to the organizers by June 1, 2012
Call for Proposals ISCAS 2016
The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) is soliciting proposals for the organization of its flagship conference, the International Symposium for Circuits and Systems (ISCAS) in the year 2016.
According to the established regional rotation schedule, ISCAS 2016 is open to any region.
Proposals should be submitted electronically to Tor Sverre Lande, IEEE CASS Vice-President for Conferences, at bassen@ifi.uio.no with a copy to Heidi Zazza, IEEE CASS Executive Director, ath.zazza@ieee.org. The deadline for submission is April 25, 2012. The proposers must present their bids for the ISCAS Steering committee on May 20th during ISCAS in Seoul, Korea.
Proposal requirements and guidelines are specified as ISCAS resources on the IEEE Circuits and Systems web page. Please carefully comply to all requirements. For additional information please contact CAS on the above e-mails.
