Publication of Selected CASS News Articles in Chinese

Beginning this issue, the IEEE CASS Newsletter will provide Chinese versions of selected news articles, aiming to bring our CASS activities to the attention of the wider Chinese circuits and systems audience. Thanks to the innovative effort of CASS President Franco Maloberti, the CASS Newsletter is able to provide this new service through the voluntary participation of Prof. Qiang Li of the University of Electronic Science and Technology at Chengdu, China. Prof. Li is now appointed as Associate Editor (Chinese Translation) for the IEEE CASS Newsletter, and will help coordinate translation services in the initial launch
phase.

As the translation of news articles is expected to require extra manpower which, like all other editorial services, relies on the voluntary participation of our members, we plan to offer Chinese versions of limited selected news articles in the initial phase of the launch of this new service. Moreover, we hope to gradually extend this service, and depending on the availability of voluntary translational services, we aim to make available more CASS news articles that are of interest to the wider non-English speaking audience in a few other foreign languages.

This service is now being piloted by the launch of Chinese version of CASS Newsletter, and will be reviewed regularly. Your views and opinions on this new initiative are welcome!
