IEEE CASS Madras Section Boot Camp on Image and Signal Processing
The IEEE Circuits and Systems Society of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College conducted a Signal and Image Processing Boot Camp held on Feb 21-22, 2024 providing participants with a comprehensive overview of the fundamental principles and applications of signal and image processing. The program aimed to equip attendees with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manipulate, analyze, and extract valuable information from signals and images. Distinguished speaker Dr. S. Sriram with expertise in signal and image processing shared his insights and experiences. The Signal and Image Processing Boot Camp provided a valuable platform for participants to enhance their understanding of fundamental concepts and gain practical experience in signal and image processing. Sincere thanks to our CEO, Principal, Dean (Innovation), Dean (Academics), Heads of various Departments for organizing this event successfully.
VLSI System Conclave
Day 1:
The VLSI Systems Conclave began with a lecture by the IEEE CAS society's advisor and a hands-on workshop on analog circuit designing using the Cadence tool led by a lecturer from The University of Sydney, Australia. The attendees acquired hands-on knowledge of the complexities involved in designing analog circuits for VLSI systems which was handled by Assistant Professors from Sri Sairam Engineering College.
Day 2:
The conclave continued on the second day with an educational session on physical design, exploring the challenges of forming VLSI components for optimal functionality, presented by Mr. S. Hariharan, freelancer & adjunct faculty, IIITDM, Kancheepuram, and Mr. T.A. Bharathwaj, principal design engineer, Microchip Technologies. Experts were also gathered for a panel discussion to examine the field's prospects for the future as well as its current trends and obstacles. Subsequently, the Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. L. Kurinjimalar, the IEEE SSCS Advisor, during the Valedictory function.
All in all, the conclave gave attendees a thorough platform to expand their knowledge of VLSI systems, covering everything from the subtleties of physical design to useful circuit layout with cutting-edge technologies. The cooperative setting promoted thought-provoking conversations and networking chances, which enhanced the event's overall success.
