A new CAS Chapter, the Xi’an Chapter, was founded in May 2010. The establishment of this new Chapter has been made possible with the help of Prof. Wenwu Zhu, Chair of the CAS Beijing Chapter. The founding Chair of the new Xi’an Chapter is Prof. Guangming Shi and Vice-Chair is Prof. Licheng Jiao , and the new Chapter now has 14 members — G. Shi
